Jorge Khalau,the commandante of Mozambican Republic police pronounced that he will continue to work to demilitarize Renamo,the police Tete wanted to show that they are the strongest and therefore set out to disarm Renamo.
Arriving at the scene the police were received with bullets that they could not control, the operation began around 17:00 yesterday and came to finish at 20:00 the same day,which
resulted in several deaths and injuries.
Renamo had three dead and six seriously injured. And on the side of the FDS(Forces of defence and Security) was recorded 19 dead and seven seriously injured.
These attacks took place yesterday in Tete,concretely in the Chiuta district,Kasula administrative postin the town of Mpondo.
