Nyusi In SOUTH AFRICA

The president performs, starting today,
a state visit to South Africa at the
invitation of his counterpart, Jacob
Zuma, with sights set on strengthening
economic and political cooperation
between the two neighboring countries. Since taking charge of the country,Filipe Nyusi strengthened political relations with South Africa and, since January this year, we are witnessing large movements in both directions, both political as diplomatic. Jacob Zuma was the first head of state to make a state visit to Mozambique after Filipe Nyusi took office. Moreover, he had already been in Mozambique in January for the inauguration of President of the Republic, and returned to Maputo in early September, to, along with Philip Nyusi, inaugurate the monument to the victims of the raid of Matola. Less than a month later, it was the turn of his vice president, Cyril Ramaposa to be received by Filipe Nyusi, under a SADC agenda. And now it is Nyusi's turn to approach the largest economic power in Africa, which, however, faces for some years now, like other countries in the region, an electric power crisis, and Mozambique need to support -South Africans to enable their projects in this sector.
