The Social Sciences exam for seventh grade declared null and void by Education Ministry

The discrepancies discovered during this week's examination in the Nampula and Maputo cities are at issue.

The exam in question will be retaken next Tuesday, the Ministry of Education and Human Development's spokesperson announced this Thursday during a press conference.

Feliciano Mahalambe clarified that the error was a result of printing, and he ensures that the right conditions are taken to mitigate the country's second exam call from being compromised  after the exam in question  is repeated.

According to the ministry's spokesperson for education and human development, approximately 300,000 students from some Cabo Delgado province districts were not tested because of security concerns.

UEM becomes a member of the top 500 global universities .

The membership of the top 500 universities in the world has just welcomed Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) and four other institutes of higher learning from southern Africa.

According to the University World News portal, these African Universities have evolved as a result of advancements in strict adherence to international academic standards.

South Africa's University of the Cape, which is ranked 161 worldwide, is at the top of the list of the best universities in Africa. (RM)

Thousands of students fail enrollment by helping parents on the farm


Manica province failed to target enrollment for this school year ,to enroll 51,683 students, about half of the scheduled number.Many Students of 1st; 6th; 8th and 11th grades are at risk of not attending school for not having registered.

Of these, the bulk goes to 25,508 children who are in danger of not attending the 1st class because their parents and guardians have abdicated the education enrollment process, causing the minors to help till the land.

It is estimated that 91,038 students were enrolled in grade 1, only it was possible to enroll 65,530 children. The problem, according to the provincial director of the sector, Stephen Rupela, quoted by the Mozambique News Agency (AIM), was due to the need of children for agricultural production.
