Nyussi wants total loyality of the defense forces of Mozambique

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi yesterday urged the Armed Forces of Mozambique Defense (FADM) to stay loyal to the State and the people and to take the defense of the country and safety of the citizens as the sole duty and responsibility.Filipe Nyusi, who is also the Commander in Chief of the Defence and Security Forces (FDS), spoke during the ceremony early greeting to the national army, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the start of the armed struggle for Liberation of Mozambique, to be marked tomorrow, and required readiness to deter any threat."The FADM should be deterrent, yes, because these threats undermine socio-economic stability and national unity of Mozambicans, diverting them from the fight against poverty, the scourge considered the main enemy," he stressed, then added: "So when we celebrate this date, the FADM need to remember their responsibility to ensure that Mozambicans live in peace, do not get intimidated and they sleep and wake up with dreams of a bright future, "he said.The President stressed that the government will continue its efforts in the search for effective peace, focusing, always, on dialogue, within the framework of democratic institutions and other spaces available.
