The baby's identity was
not revealed. He is three years old and has been out of family life
since August 4th when he
was allegedly kidnapped by a
citizen of Mozambican
nationality, in the South
African province of Mpumalanga. The indicted,
who was employed in Sa by the child's
parents after
kidnapping, sent him to
Mozambique and demanded a
ransom amounting to 700 000 rand. The child remained three
weeks in family house of the
alleged kidnapper, in the
suburb of Machava Socimol,
Matola municipality, but was
eventually found, on Monday as a result of a joint operation
between the Police of the
Republic of Mozambique (PRM)
and the South African
authorities.
