Renamo was not arrested only
thanks to the intervention of
mediators of political and
military crisis. Unconfirmed
information realizes that the "assault" aimed to recover the
weapons allegedly captured by
armed Renamo men during
attacks against Dhlakama's
entourage on the 25th of
September. Renamo, through its head of the bench in the
National Assembly, Ivone
Soares, says the action of
police is against the
rule of law and that the
government and the the Frelimo party are missing the truth
about its intention to
negotiate peacefully with Renamo.
