Words of The Presdent of the republic concerning disarmament process

"We will instruct the Defence and Security Forces,the National Director, to consider the ongoing process of compulsive disarmament, I repeat, in the spirit of concord and reconciliation and tolerance to allow society to rediscover and reestablish dialogue that all Mozambicans expect.

I say I'm ready to talk to anyone,including the leadership of Renamo party, we already have been talking to them ,so that we can find solutions to the quiet of Mozambicans.

I repeat, we instruct the Forces of Defence and Security, to be aware that they need no further orders because they swear by the flag, when starting a mission, a stage, receive mission assigned by Constitution, which is to protect this country.

But I say we use this podium to instruct the weighting of compulsive disarmament and allow for all to willingly surrender that which they think they should not posses, above all, to enable us to work and dialogue. That in the spirit of trust and mutual will. "
