Chimoio:Police crack down on illegal forex trade

Mozambican police launched in the city of Chimoio in Manica, an operation to discourage informal foreign currency exchange. It is an activity that has been going on ffor some time now. The operation culminated with the arrest of Sixteen individuals and also the recovery of two hundred and twelve thousand meticais, in US dollar, rand and Malawian kwacha.

These individuals are accused of using delaying tactics to confusse their clients in forex trading.Police also arrested an individual in possession of counterfeit notes worth  many thousands of meticais.
