More than three thousand individuals, including tourists and exhibitors of different agricultural products that support the district's economy, attended the Festival, according to the Massingir administrator's report on the event.
Esmeralda Muthemba claims that in less than an hour, the district sold out of nearly a ton of fresh tilapia fish and unknown quantities of dry fish.
According to the official, the event was successful in terms of planning, attracting attendees and exhibitors from around the world, as well as administrative aspects.
The First Tilapia Festival in Massingir included additional services like identity card registration, NUIT acquisition, and passport application. It also included a musical performance as its finale. (RM
