Ilesh Jani bids farewell to WHO's SAGE

Ilesh Jani, the Director-General of the National Institute of Health (INS), no longer serves on the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE), the World Health Organization's principal advisory body (WHO)

Ilesh Jani and other member cadres, who ceased their duties, performed admirably, according to Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the WHO, at the farewell last week in Geneva, Switzerland.


In order to reach the shared aim of eradication, Tedros stated at the time that "Dr. Ilesh Jani led SAGE's work on typhoid and especially the polio vaccine, provided numerous strategic policy recommendations."
Ilesh Jani has been a SAGE member since October 2015 and has a total of two terms under his belt.

SAGE has a total of 15 members.
