Mozambique:Nampula province: hub for children's rights abuse

The majority of children's rights violations in the nation occur in the Nampula province.

The Coordinator of the Observatory of Children's Rights claimed—without providing specific figures—that rape and sexual assault cases are particularly common in young women.

On the eve of the Fair in Maputo, Salomé Mimbir gave a speech to raise awareness of children's rights and the procedures for reporting them and how THEY could be violated.

Salomé Mimbir also mentioned the difficulties in Pemba, in the province of Cabo Delgado, such as the cases accusing youngsters of being sexually exploited.
