Niassa: Peasants cautioned not to sow their seeds too early

Niassa. INAM advises peasants not to sow their seeds too early.
In light of the predicted occurrence of the El Nio phenomena during the approaching rainy season, the National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) in Niassa appealed to the local peasants not to plant the seed too soon.

According to INAM statistics, the province of Niassa  will experience normal rainfall from October to December, with a tendency toward below average rainfall, particularly in the northern region, and normal rainfall with an above normal trend from January to April 2023.

Tomás Inácio, the representative of the National Institute of Meteorology in Niassa, urges to the peasants to base their planting decisions on information from the sector in order to prevent seed deterioration in the  field.
