Accident on EN1 in Mapinhane, Inhambane, Results in Two Dead and Nine Injured

On Saturday, a traffic accident along National Road Number One, in the administrative post of Mapinhane, Vilankulo district, Inhambane, led to the death of two individuals and injured nine others. The accident, a collision between a cargo truck and a minibus, resulted in immediate fatalities at the scene.

Witnesses reported that the truck driver fled the scene but was pursued and forced to provide assistance to the victims.

Nércia Bata, head of the Public Relations Department at the Provincial Command of the Mozambique Republic Police (PRM) in Inhambane, expressed regret over the incident and renewed calls for cautious driving, especially during this festive season.
