Nampula Gripped by Fuel Crisis as Drivers Face Long Waits and Sky-High Prices

The streets of Nampula are witnessing a frustrating scene: long lines of vehicles snaking around gas stations, drivers growing increasingly impatient. A fuel shortage has gripped the city, forcing many stations to shut their doors, leaving motorists scrambling to fill their tanks.

Desperation has driven some drivers to seek fuel from unconventional sources – homes. However, this comes at a steep price, with residents forced to pay exorbitant rates for the precious commodity.

Jamil Carlos, one of the many drivers caught in the fuel frenzy, described his ordeal: "I've been waiting for an hour, and even then, they keep stopping sales. They won't even sell to you if you don't have your vehicle here!"

Caetano Malache echoed the frustration, lamenting the impact on his livelihood. "I can't use my motorcycle, and I need it for work," he said, his voice tinged with exasperation.

This fuel crisis is not just an inconvenience; it's disrupting the lives of countless Nampulans. As the shortage continues, the city braces for the potential ripple effects on transportation, businesses, and the overall economic activity.
