Maputo holds a public consultation session on the proposed New Investment Law

A public consultation session on the New Investment Law's draft was held yesterday in Maputo city by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce's Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports.

The purpose of the conference is to raise funding for the revision of Law No. 3/93, of June 24, which attempts to harmonize the fundamental constitutional framework that governs private investments within the current state of the national economy. (RM

Maputo. INAE conducts awareness-raising campaigns in the fields of business, industry, tourism, and education.

Since this past Friday, inspections of an educative nature in the fields such as business, industry, tourism, and education have been carried out by the National Inspection of Economic Activities (INAE) in the city of Maputo.

The INAE envoy gave a press conference in the city of Maputo where the announcement was made.

According to Gabriel Estevo Chongo, the inspection campaign is a component of carrying out the initiatives included in the President of the Republic's Economic Acceleration Package.

The INAE representative in Maputo underlined that the operation also aims to ensure ethical business practices and draw tourists to the nation during the festive season. (RM)

17 indicted for armed bank robberry in Quelimane .

The indictment against 17 suspects, who are allegedly involved in the robbery of Banco Comercial de Investimentos(BCI), in Quelimane and the seizure of more than 134 million meticais, was filed to the Zambézia Judicial Court this month by the Provincial Prosecutor's Office.

Part of the suspects are said to be  employees of BCI bank itself, according to a statement from the Zambézia Provincial Attorney's Office that was given to the media in Quelimane.

Four of the 17 defendants are being held in preventive detention. All of the defendants have been charged with bribery, aggravated robbery, criminal association, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The Zambézia Provincial Prosecutor's Office, on the other hand, launched a separate investigation in an effort to bring additional persons who may have been engaged in the heist to justice.

The theft from the Banco Comercial e Investimentos, BCI, central treasury in Quelimane, occured during broad daylight on July 29 last year.

Gaza Province: citizens urged not to welcome illegal immigrants

Officials from the National Migration Service in Gaza have urged residents not to welcome illegal immigrants into the region.

The request stems from the fact that there have been certain examples of illegal immigrants being received in specific regions, an attitude to which the Migration Service calls attention, as well as the respective denunciation of the presence of these foreign people.

Mozambique: 8 new cases of COVID-19 reported

Mozambique -Rwanda : Visas abolished

Regular passport holders no longer need a visa to enter Mozambique or Rwanda.

For regular passport holders, Mozambique and Rwanda do not require a travel visa.

In order to facilitate this, the two governments on Friday in Kigali inked a deal to abolish visas.

Both Rwanda's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vincent Biruta, and Mozambican Interior Minister Arsénia Massingue signed the document.

According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, under the terms of this agreement, nationals of both nations are permitted to enter and remain in either Mozambique or Rwanda for up to 90 days without a visa.

Tete: Member of Notorious Poaching Gang nabbed.
