A citizen has been detained since
yesterday by Police of the Republic of Mozambique(PRM) in Gondola, Manica province,accused of
trying to smuggle his own son. Miquitaio Antonio, 38,was arrested while
allegedly on his way to a place in Inchope, to kill and then sell the body of his four year old son to a traditional healer. According to the district
commander of the PRM in Gondola,
Hope Callisto, the citizen in question
marked the Inchope cemetery as a place for the meeting with the supposed
buyer, now fugitive. The case was
discovered by the denunciation of the
defendant's neighbors.

Athourities in Maputo appeal to Citizens to denounce criminals
NINETY percent of criminal cases in the first half of this year in Maputo were committed using firearms, a fact that leads the authorities to appeal to citizens to denounce criminals and to bring on a voluntary basis,war artifacts in the hands of unqualified people.
