Tanzania market for human organs from Mozambique?

Uncornfirmed reports say that kidnapping, murder and extraction of albino organs in the north of Mozambique aims to feed the Tanzanian traditional medicine.

TVM talked to a Tanzanian albino who in fact said such obscurantist practices happen in that neighboring country where the authorities have already condemned several people involved in the heinous crime of human organs extraction.

Why opt for imported organs? The answer comes from an albino who lives worried confirming that yes in Tanzania obscurantistic practices associated with albino organs has been a dilemma for a long time.

But now the scenario has got better because of the care that families have toward their relatives and that cruel act is also closely marked by the authorities that even some criminals have been condemned to the death penalty.

The difficult criminal action in Tanzania can explain the state in Mozambique where people and the authorities are even less aware of many facts in relation to the evil phenomenon.

"The killers take albino organs and mix with other potions to raise incomes in the mines, fishing and other activities. Healers are instigating these murders because they tell people to kill albinos and extract their organs to mix with potions and form what they call supernatural force to ensure their enrichment''

Asked if it was easy for him to survive in Tanzania,the young man answerd, ''We walked worried, but after the government stepped up the fight against crime these murders are now controlled compared to past years''

While working to prevent further abductions and murders, the Tanzanian justice system penalizes in onerous and exemplary manner the criminals caught.

"There are people detained in connection with this and some have already been sentenced to death''

The President of Mozambique,Mr Nyusi ensures that there are already efforts of government agencies in order to stem this cross-border crime.

ROBBERS FATALLY SHOT IN NACALA PORTO

In Nacala-Porto, police fatally shot three members of a gang that had robbed a tourist resort, in broad daylight,stealing large sums of money.

During the exchange of fire 4 escaped and one has been admitted to the District Hospital of Nacala.

At mid-morning, according to eyewitnesses a gang of eight bandits subdued the guard of a tourist resort located on the beach of Ferdinand Veloso armed with two weapons of the AKM type and a pistol,some masked and dreadlocked and assaulted the establishment requiring the code for the safe and money.

As there was resistance from the owner,their solution was to shoot him in the abdomen.He has been admitted to the district hospital in Nacala.

He underwent surgery because the bullet was found still lodged in the bladder region, the medical team explained,saying the state of the patient is still critical.

Once notified,the police unleashed a furious,well coordinated hunt for the robbers,and it was a chase and exchange of fire that followed.

The bad guys were shooting at the police,and as a result three of the eight robbers ended up losing their lives,dying on the spot,the other four managed to get away carrying the stolen money and a gun.

However the other one wounded once fell into the clutches of PRM.
At the hospital even after dodging death,he denied his involvement.

The police says that this is a dangerous group from the city of Maputo and promises to go hunting the four escapees.

ZAMBÉZIA: Investment in tourism to create jobs

Zambezia is the second most- populous province of Mozambique,located in the central coastal region south- west of Nampula Province and north-east of Sofala Province. It has a population of 3,85 million (census 2007).The provincial capital is Quelimane on the Bons Sinais River.

THE GOVERNOR of Zambezia,Abdul Razak,argued in Quelimane,the promotion of investment to revive tourism in oder to create jobs and combat poverty.

The official said that the biggest challenge of the province in the future will be the attraction of domestic and foreign investment for the construction of hotels and similar units in order to reduce its deficit in the districts.

Razak said that despite progress in the construction of guesthouses and hotels,the province's districts continue to face shortage of beds to meet demand which prevents the promotion of business tourism, namely conferences, seminars or conducting functions for different State or private institutions and nongovernmental organizations.


The governor of Zambezia said the construction of new hotels can contribute decisively to job creation and poverty reduction and for raising revenue for the state coffers to fund public policies in different socio- economic fields. 

However, the recent completion of the VIII Zalala Festival was preceded by the inauguration of a tourist resort, whose implementation was made possible through financial injection of 650 thousand US dollars. The same has the twenty bedrooms, a conference room, restaurant and pool, employing at present 23 employees.

Abdul Razak said the most important thong is that the level of service must improve to win the confidence of tourists.

"To provide quality services and enhance professionalism can contribute decisively to garner sympathy from tourists.Sell ​​the picture of this complex through various communication platforms to see the plywood investment",said Abdul Razak,who also added that improved quality of services goes also hand in hand woth ongoing training of staff to raise their professional competence.

Zambezia province has over 400 kilometers of coastline that can be exploited in the development of various types of tourism, especially sport fishing and other activities to attract investment. 

"Tourism is a driving force for economic and social development and activity multiplier effects for the economy," Razak said.

In fact, the Zalala Festival and Carnival are already branded tourist products of Zambezia province that should be capitalized for managers of hotel properties and restaurants Earn Money at the time of their realization.


He pointed out that other tourism products are also the hot springs with medicinal effects,Pebane beach,the contemplation of tourism in Gurue, which should be explored.

He said the gorvenment has created the legal framework and set incentives for tourism,in particular by building roads and installing electricity and telecommunications.
